Careers Service NI
The Careers Service provides professional and impartial careers advice and guidance to young people and adults to help them make informed decisions about their future.
Within schools it is the responsibility of the Careers Adviser to:

Support staff with the Careers Education programme.
- Every young person is offered a Careers Guidance interview to help explore career options.
- Attend all Annual Review and Transition meetings to help discuss suitable next steps for the young person.
- Meet with parents/guardians to give information, support and advice on all relevant options available to the young person after they leave school.
- The Careers Adviser will work in conjunction with other agencies who may be supporting the young person and family.
