Key Stage 3 marks an exciting first step into post-primary education for our pupils. It’s a time to explore new subjects and develop essential life skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

We introduce subjects like Technology and Learning for Life and Work to encourage independence and practical skills. Pupils thrive through activities like Home Economics, where they develop everyday independence, and by running class businesses that promote teamwork, creativity, and employability.

Our curriculum is tailored to each individual, with a strong focus on multi-sensory learning to ensure every pupil remains engaged and achieves their full potential.

Key Stage 3 also sets the foundation for moving into the senior school. Through valuable external links and programs like the John Muir Award, pupils take part in enriching projects that build confidence and skills. Activities such as fishing, orienteering, and team building in Year 10 have already made a significant impact, fostering strong friendships and boosting self-esteem.

At our school, watching pupils grow in confidence, form meaningful friendships, and discover their abilities is at the heart of everything we do.
